Angela Collins will be speaking about Ethical angling!
Ethical angling is about understanding the best practices for sustainable recreational fishing.
Angela is a Florida native and is completely obsessed with fish stories. She received her undergraduate degree in Marine Biology from Florida Atlantic University, and her MS and PhD in Biology from the University of South Florida. She has worked as a scientific diver in Louisiana, researched sharks and rays at Mote Marine Lab, and lived for years on a sailboat. She spent over a decade as a fisheries biologist specializing in reef fisheries research with FWC’s Fish and Wildlife Research Institute before joining UF/Florida Sea Grant in 2015. Her primary program areas focus on sustainable marine fisheries, cooperative research with industry, and shellfish aquaculture in southwest Florida.
