Florida SEE

The Wild, Wonderful Withlacoochee

Date/Time
2/15/2015 - 2/20/2015
Check in: 1-5PM on February 15
Event Description
From February 15-20, paddlers will thread their way from Lake Panasoffkee through hardwood swamps and clear spring-fed streams on a 58-mile journey to the white sandy beaches of the Gulf of Mexico. This trip also offers the paddlers the unique experience of going through a small lock as a group at Wysong Dam.

Paddle Florida arranges all camping sites to highlight nature's best shoreline views.  Three meals are provided daily.  Your camping gear is transported for you, so there's no need to weigh down canoes/kayaks with tents and other gear.  Vehicle and boat shuttles are available.  Evening entertainment is provided, featuring regional musicians and educational presentations on local water issues, flora, and fauna.

If you can't get away for the whole trip, you can choose the Paddle Florida Lite option for a shorter segment of 4 days or less.
